Łukasiewicz – PORT research leaders among the speakers
Łukasiewicz – PORT will be represented by the leaders of three Research Groups from the Life Sciences and Biotechnology Center, specializing in neurobiology:
Dr. Michał Ślęzak, leader of the Astrocyte Biology Research Group, whose work aims to understand the role of astrocytes in regulating physiological processes in the brain and the consequences of their dysfunction, particularly in the context of depression.
Dr. Witold Konopka, leader of the Neurogastrobiology and Metabolism Research Group, whose goal is to define the precise regulation of peripheral metabolism by the brain. His team focuses on the mechanisms responsible for the function of hunger and satiety centers.
Dr. Tomasz Prószyński, leader of the Synaptogenesis Research Group, who conducts multidisciplinary research aimed at understanding the mechanisms regulating the formation and organization of synapses in the central nervous system and their dysfunction in neurodevelopmental disorders.
PORT for Health: a series of conferences for science and medicine
