NMR spectroscopy
NMR spectroscopy is an extremely versatile and precise analytical technique used to study the structure, purity, and dynamics of chemical compounds. It enables detailed analysis of both low-molecular-weight and high-molecular-weight compounds — including polymers, proteins, peptides, nucleic acids — as well as biological samples and materials of complex composition.
With the ability to acquire one- and multidimensional spectra, NMR allows for determining molecular structure, spatial arrangement, conformations, intermolecular interactions, and dynamic changes over time. Modern instrumentation also enables the study of solids, opening pathways for structural analysis of substances that are difficult to dissolve, crystalline materials, powders, polymers, and biomaterials.
