HR Excellence

The “HR Excellence in Research” logo is a prestigious distinction awarded by the European Commission to scientific research institutions that provide researchers with the best and consistent with the European standards’ conditions of work in the implementation of scientific or research and development activities. The “HR Excellence in Research” logo is a quality mark that is awarded to organizations implementing the principles contained in the “European Charter for Researchers” and the “Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers”. These principles oblige research and development institutions to create friendly working conditions and to develop a scientific career as well as transparent recruitment processes.

Łukasiewicz Research Network – PORT Polish Center for Technology Development received the right to use the “HR Excellence in Research” logo in January 2016 as the first scientific and research organization in Wrocław and the ninth in Poland.

To obtain the HR Excellence in Research logo, certain conditions have to be met and a meticulous procedure must be followed. Łukasiewicz – PORT had to conduct an internal analysis assessing to what extent the company’s operation is consistent with the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers. An analysis of the adjustment of the Łukasiewicz – PORT to the above guidelines was made by the team established for this purpose. On the basis of the conclusions from the analysis, HR strategy and action plan were prepared adapting the HR policy of our organization to the European standards set by the European Commission. In accordance with the EC recommendations, we plan cyclical self-evaluation of the implemented solutions and continuous improvement of our approach in this area.

The general report on the analysis carried out, including the adopted action plan, can be found in the following annexes:
