Principles of PI recruitment

We recruit new research group leaders on the basis the best practices of the world’s leading R&D units and in accordance with the guidelines of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers.

The selection of candidates consists of the following stages:

  • First Recruitment Interview – a meeting with the Centre Director or Research Group Leader who has been selected by the Director to conduct the recruitment and an HR representative to enable the candidate to present their past experience and achievements.
  • Pre-panel – candidate’s presentation in front of the given Research Group Centre Leaders.
  • Experts panel – candidate’s presentation in front of external experts (scientific authorities) cooperating with the Institute. Experts panel prepares the recommendation for the Director of the Institute, who takes the final decision to accept the candidate.
