Łukasiewicz – PORT Polish Center for Technology Development is a Research Institute within the Łukasiewicz Research Network. It focuses on development of new technologies, resulting from basic and applied research, which, in turn, serve as a basis for innovative solutions for the industry. With high-class specialists and state-of-art infrastructure, we provide capacity for the most advanced research. Our Institute consists of three research centers – Life Sciences & Biotechnology Center, Materials Science & Engineering Center and Center for Population Diagnostics, with access to specialized core laboratories – a combination, which allows to carry out both, scientific research and pilot studies for the industry in a comprehensive manner.

HR COORDINATOR (Chief  Specialist)

Job description:

The HR Coordinator at the P4Health Centre of Excellence, funded under the Horizon Europe Teaming for Excellence programme, will be responsible for identifying staffing needs based on the project proposal and for developing and implementing recruitment and staff development strategies for both research and administrative personnel, in line with international best practices.

Key responsibilities will include recruitment of core project personnel, implementation of a research staff recruitment method based on the ‘outcubation’ business model (Betz and Tidona, 2015, Nature Biotechnology), as well as supporting the organisation in maintaining the highest HR standards.

The person in this role will collaborate closely with the project leadership, monitor the effectiveness of HR activities, and report progress in accordance with the requirements of the European Commission.

Key Responsibilities:

• Close collaboration with the Project Coordinator to identify staffing needs and optimise the recruitment process;

•  Organisation and oversight of the recruitment process for Principal Investigators and members of research teams, as well as administrative staff;

•  Implementation of a new recruitment method for research staff based on based on the ‘outcubation’ business model

•  Development of a long-term recruitment strategy for the project, in line with the institution’s policy (Gender Equality Plan) and the requirements of the European Commission;

• Development of a professional development plan for project staff, including training, mentoring, and individual career paths;

• Reporting HR process data in accordance with project guidelines;

• Monitoring the outcomes of the implemented HR strategy and adjusting activities to meet the current needs of the project;

• Collaboration in organising workshops and training sessions based on the established staff development programme;

• Collaboration with the PR Office to enhance and promote the Institute’s employer brand and visibility.

Our requirements:

• Master’s degree (preferred fields: human resource management, psychology, management, project management, or related areas);

•  At least 3 years of professional experience in HR, with a proven track record of independently managing recruitment processes; experience in the research sector or international projects will be considered an advantage;

• Experience in implementing HR strategies and employee development programmes;

• Proven ability to plan and execute recruitment processes, along with experience in organizing and facilitating AC/DC processes;

• Experience working in research institutions or organisations implementing Horizon 2020/Horizon Europe projects;

• Knowledge of HR tools supporting employer branding and internal communication;

• Knowledge of HR standards relevant to EU-funded projects (particularly Horizon Europe), along with experience in gender equality and workplace diversity issues—especially in implementing a Gender Equality Plan (GEP)—will be regarded as an added advantage.

•  Ability to work independently, proactive attitude, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a project-driven team environment.
