Łukasiewicz Research Network – PORT Polish Center for Technology Development is a Research Institute within the Łukasiewicz Research Network. It focuses on development of new technologies, resulting from basic and applied research, which, in turn, serves as a basis for innovative solutions for the industry. With high-class specialists and state-of-the-art infrastructure, we provide capacity for the most advanced research. Our Institute consists of three research centers – Life Sciences & Biotechnology Center, Materials Science & Engineering Center and Center for Population Diagnostics, with access to specialized core laboratories – a combination, which allows to carry out both, scientific research and pilot studies for the industry in a comprehensive manner.
We are currently looking for a person for the position of:
SPECIALISTS – ADVISORS TECHNOLOGICAL AUDITS and PRE-INCUBATION
Main tasks of the person in this position:
Coordination of the knowledge and technology transfer process, including market and patent analysis, and tracking current trends in the field of standards in the modelling of neuropsychiatric diseases in an international project.

Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Preparation of reports specifying the inventive level and novelty in the conducted research;
- Identification of research results in projects that may potentially be the subject of a patent application;
- Substantive support for scientists in the analysis of the state of the art and assessment of the possibility of commercialization of research results;
- Coordination of expert meetings with representatives of enterprises in the field of verification of the “proof of concept” market potential;
- Preparation of documents regarding technology transfer, such as: MTA, NDA, MOU, licenses, sales contracts, contracts for R&D services;
- Performing other activities related to cooperation with foreign partners in the project.
Qualifications:
- Higher education, preferred studies: medicine, biotechnology, an additional advantage will be a doctoral degree in the above-mentioned areas;
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a technology transfer specialist, technology broker or similar in the field of life sciences;
- Knowledge of English at B2 level or higher;
- Highly developed analytical skills;
- Communication and the ability to establish contacts and relationships building;
- Ability to work under time pressure in changing conditions in interdisciplinary teams.
An additional advantage will be:
- Knowledge of the latest technologies and trends in the development of broadly understood biology, biotechnology, medicine;
- Experience in the field of protection of intellectual and industrial property, as well as in the field of its valuation;
- Knowledge of the principles of operation and direct commercialization of the achievements in a research and development institute;
- Experience in building a network of contacts and links between a research institute and business.
