Learning Through Play During the European Funds Days

The Gardens of Experiences were filled today with colorful experiments, shouts of surprise, and laughter. All thanks to the Sensory Slime Zone – free educational workshops for children, organized as part of the nationwide European Funds Days 2025.

The workshops focused on experiencing science through all the senses, providing sensory stimulation that supports the development of young children in particular. While creating colorful slime, participants learned how non-Newtonian fluids work and discovered the basics of polymer chemistry. All of this took place through engaging laboratory experiments designed to spark their curiosity.

The workshops were organized by the Gardens of Experiences team, which has been promoting science among young audiences for years. Children enthusiastically took part in the activities and had plenty of questions about what daily work in scientific laboratories looks like.

During the European Funds Days, people across Poland have the opportunity to visit places usually closed to the public and take a behind-the-scenes look at projects supported by the European Union — from state-of-the-art science centers and research labs to cultural institutions and infrastructure investments — getting a firsthand look at the impact of EU funding.
