New Director of the Łukasiewicz Research Network – PORT Polish Center for Technology Development 

As of September 3, 2024, Professor Jarosław Bosy, PhD, DSc, Eng., has assumed the position of Acting Director of the Łukasiewicz Research Network – PORT Polish Center for Technology Development. Professor Bosy brings a wealth of scientific and organizational experience, having worked extensively on international research projects and collaborated with prestigious institutions worldwide. 

Throughout his career, Professor Bosy has led numerous research projects funded by key Polish and European research agencies, such as the National Science Centre (NCN), National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR), and participated in international initiatives like grants from the European Space Agency (ESA). His academic achievements include an h-index of 16 and over 990 citations in the Scopus database, as well as an h-index of 24 and over 2,000 citations in Google Scholar. Moreover, he actively serves as an expert evaluator of research projects on both national and international levels. 

Professor Bosy envisions further integrating Wrocław’s scientific potential, particularly strengthening collaboration between academia and the business sector, to maximize the opportunities provided by Łukasiewicz – PORT. He looks optimistically toward the future of the Institute, emphasizing that the key challenge will be adapting to market needs and fostering innovations that have a tangible impact on improving quality of life.
