Today, as part of Fantasy Days, we took part in a press briefing held at the Mediateka, where the 19th edition of Fantasy Days was officially launched. The meeting was an opportunity to visit the headquarters of one of this year’s DF partners, where lectures, discussion panels, and meetings with authors will take place.

The objective of the implementation doctorate was to develop systems for graphene synthesis on copper surfaces and to optimize synthesis conditions to enable effective coating of copper wires and tracks with graphene, along with establishing methods for assessing the quality of the resulting coatings.
The P4Health project, which has received funding under the Horizon Europe Teaming for Excellence program, will focus on developing and implementing solutions essential for the advancement of personalized medicine in Poland. Patients will gain access to new diagnostic methods and more affordable therapies. The project will run for 6 years.
Dnia 23.05 (z inicjatywy Łukasiewicz – PORT) odbyło się spotkanie inaugurujące w ramach Dnia Polskiej Genomiki, które celem nadrzędnym było rozpoczęcie prac nad mapą drogową dla polskiej genomiki oraz omówienie ścieżki wejścia Polski do europejskich inicjatyw genomicznych takich jak 1+MG.
The results of the third Virtual Research Institute (WIB) call are now known. The aim of the call is to fund research in the field of medical biotechnology. Out of five submitted projects, an international panel of experts rated two projects the highest. They will receive funding totaling nearly PLN 119 million for research on oncology therapies.
On 24/04/2024, Łukasiewicz – PORT will host Dr. Aleksandra Badura, Head of the laboratory focused on neural networks at Erasmus MC University in Rotterdam, who will deliver a lecture entitled: “The Role of Hindbrain and Midbrain Inhibition in Autism-Like Behaviors.”
The end of August at Łukasiewicz – PORT will be marked by fantastic meetings and journeys into the unknown. All thanks to the oldest Lower Silesian festival dedicated to fantasy, which this year will be hosted as a guest event at the Pracze Campus.
Scientists at the Life Sciences and Biotechnology Center at Łukasiewicz – PORT work every day on therapies that may contribute to breakthroughs in the treatment of severe disorders. On Rare Disease Day, observed annually on the last day of February, we present the latest approach to treating Huntington’s disease, which is the subject of research conducted by Dr. Agnieszka Krzyżosiak and the Neurodegeneration Mechanisms Research Group she leads at our Institute.
