Influence on the enviroment

Information on the influence of activities performed by an organizational unit on human health and the environment

Based on Article 32 c paragraph 2 of the Act of November 29, 2000 Atomic Law (i.e. Journal of Laws of 2021, item 1941), I inform that in the organizational unit:

activities related to exposure are performed such as launching a class III isotope laboratory, the use of radioactive sources, the intended administration of radioactive substances to animals for scientific research, storage of radioactive sources and waste (on the basis of permit no. D-19992 of 13.10.2016 issued by the President of the State Nuclear Agency).

Organizational unit controls the exposure of workers through individual dosimeters. In 2022 dose readings were provided by the accredited laboratory of the Silesian Center of Environmental Radiometry at the Central Mining Institute, based on quarterly settlements. Records and supervision of the readings are carried out by the Radiological Safety Officer. In 2022, the dose limits specified for employees (20 mSv / year) were not exceeded.

Based on the above measurements, it is concluded that the activities in the past 2022 did not have a negative impact on human health and the environment.

Due to the performance of the activities described above, no radioactive substances are released into the environment.
