On 1–2 June 2026, Brussels will host “From Ideas to Impact: Emerging Health Technologies in Action” – a two-day event dedicated to health innovation, international collaboration, and building project partnerships within European research and innovation initiatives.
The event is organized by the National Centre for Research and Development Office in Brussels, EIT Health, the National Contact Point for the EU Framework Programme (Horizon Europe), the Industry Contact Point for Digital Transformation, and the Industry Contact Point for Medical Technologies and Health, based at Łukasiewicz – PORT.
The first day focuses on opportunities for collaboration and consortium building around the priorities of the Innovative Health Initiative (IHI) and the EU Mission on Cancer.
The agenda includes an expert discussion on IHI and Mission Cancer priorities with representatives of the European Commission, the IHI partnership, and health sector experts, as well as a pitching session for participants seeking project partners. A key part of the day will also include matchmaking sessions enabling direct B2B meetings and networking.
The second day, organized by EIT Health under the theme “Connecting Ideas, Driving Impact,” will focus on strategic directions in European health and biotechnology development. The program includes:
- a discussion on Europe’s opportunities in biotechnology and the EU Biotech Act,
- an expert panel with representatives from innovation ecosystems and startups,
- an interactive session on the use of artificial intelligence in healthcare,
- thematic networking sessions supporting international collaboration.
The event is aimed at representatives of research organizations, startups, companies, innovation support bodies, and all stakeholders interested in participating in European R&D projects in health, biotech, and AI in healthcare.
