Łukasiewicz – PORT scientists among the 30 Most Creative People of Wrocław

Witold Konopka, Patrycja Gazińska, Michał Ślęzak, Grzegorz Chodaczek, Michał Malewicz, Agnieszka Krzyżosiak, and Anna Nosal – this is the team behind the P4Health project, recently named among the 30 Most Creative People of Wrocław.
– P4Health is one of the most ambitious initiatives in the field of precision medicine in Europe. Our city has the potential to become a central hub of innovation that tangibly improves patients’ quality of life and access to healthcare. Achieving the project’s goals – such as new diagnostic methods, early detection of cancer and neurological disorders, the advancement of biobanking, and more effective treatment – requires close collaboration between scientists, clinicians, and industry. And we are initiating that collaboration now – says Dr. Witold Konopka, project leader and Head of the Neuroplasticity and Metabolism Research Group at Łukasiewicz – PORT.

30 Most Creative People of Wrocław is an initiative by the City of Wrocław, which for the past eight years has been celebrating people, ideas, and initiatives that are unconventional, inspiring, and innovative – those that help the city and its residents grow.
The P4Health project has an international scope – PORT scientists are collaborating with experts from CERBM in Strasbourg and King’s College London. However, Wrocław is where the project’s results will be implemented. The capital of Lower Silesia is becoming an increasingly important hub on the European scientific map, bringing together the local academic and research communities, attracting international experts, and driving investment in cutting-edge technologies. The project will foster the creation and growth of new spin-off companies and enhance innovation in the biomedical sector, strengthening Wrocław’s position as a leader in research in this field, both in Poland and across Europe.
