Łukasiewicz – PORT Polish Center for Technology Development and the University of Wrocław are launching a partnership in doctoral education. Through this collaboration, young researchers will be able to prepare their dissertations at the University of Wrocław while working and gaining experience in international Research Groups at our Institute.

A world-renowned specialist in solid-state and coordination chemistry, Prof. Gerd Meyer, has joined Łukasiewicz – PORT as a visiting researcher. The scientist from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm has been awarded the Alexander von Humboldt Polish Honorary Research Scholarship, granted by the Foundation for Polish Science (FNP).

Łukasiewicz – PORT is studying the immune response to the SARS-CoV-2 virus in patients vaccinated with different types of vaccines. We invite individuals who have not yet received their first vaccine dose to participate in this scientific project. Participants will receive free antibody tests to assess both short- and long-term immunity.

Please be informed that starting June 21, 2021, our testing point in front of the Marshal’s Office of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship (Mazowiecka Street) will perform only private SARS-CoV-2 tests. Tests ordered and reimbursed by the National Health Fund (NFZ) will no longer be available at this location.

Registration for COVID-19 vaccinations for children aged 12–15 has begun. They will receive the Comirnaty vaccine developed by Pfizer.

Our testing point located at the Marshal’s Office of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship will be open during the long weekend, from June 3 to June 6. Patients can come for testing every day between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.
