Funding provided by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education will serve as complementary support for the P4Health project and will be dedicated to the operation and further development of five technological platforms: the Clinical and Biobanking Platform (P1), the Spatial and Computational Pathology Platform (P2), the Bioanalytics Platform (P3), the Functional Validation in Disease Models Platform (P4), and the Cell Engineering and Cell-based Therapies Platform (P5). Together, these platforms form the core research infrastructure of the P4Health Centre of Excellence.
Operating in close synergy with research teams, the platforms will create a cohesive and integrated research and innovation ecosystem covering the entire value chain—from the collection and management of biological samples and data, through advanced multi-level analysis, to the development and validation of novel diagnostic and therapeutic approaches.
The funding will strengthen the platforms’ operational capabilities, enabling advanced biological and molecular analyses, the development of disease models, and the validation of innovative therapeutic concepts. It will also support the expansion and maintenance of laboratory infrastructure, ensure access to cutting-edge technologies and research tools, and foster the growth of highly specialized expert teams.
A key focus will be on enhancing integration across platforms, including the development of advanced analytical tools—such as AI-driven solutions—and technology demonstrators that enable real-world validation of emerging approaches. The funding will also facilitate collaboration with clinical, academic, and industrial partners at both national and international levels.
Altogether, this support will enable the creation of a modern, fully integrated research and innovation environment, accelerating the translation of scientific discoveries into clinical applications and strengthening the implementation and innovation potential of the P4Health Centre of Excellence.
