SENIOR SPECIALIST – Research Engineer (POST-DOC) in the Research Group Advanced Epitaxial Materials (EpiMat)
Łukasiewicz Research Network – PORT Polish Center for Technology Development is a Research Institute within the Łukasiewicz Research Network. It focuses on development of new technologies, resulting from basic and applied research, which, in turn, serves as a basis for innovative solutions for the industry. With high-class specialists and state-of-the-art infrastructure, we provide capacity for the most advanced research. Our Institute consists of three research centers – Life Sciences & Biotechnology Center, Materials Science & Engineering Center and Center for Population Diagnostics, with access to specialized core laboratories – a combination, which allows to carry out both, scientific research and pilot studies for the industry in a comprehensive manner.
Currently we are looking to fill in the position of
Senior Specialist – Research Engineer (POST-DOC)
in the Research Group Advanced Epitaxial Materials (EpiMat)
State: 1, full-time job
Responsibilities:
• Growth of heteroepitaxial semiconductor structures based on group-III nitrides with boron and other elements using Metalorganic Vapor Phase Epitaxy (MOVPE) and their structural and electrical characterization
• Planning, designing, and conducting scientific experiments
• Writing manuscripts, presenting results at international scientific conferences
• Active participation in the laboratory operations
• Supervising Ph.D. students and technicians
Qualifications:
• Ph.D. degree (or equivalent) in physics or material engineering
• Scientific productivity proven in international publications and conference contributions
• Experience in laboratory work in the field of semiconductor epitaxy, structural, optical and electrical characterization
• Leadership and organizational skills
• Good team-working and willingness to cooperate with other team members
• Very good English (both written and spoken)
Additional preferred skills:
• Active international cooperation especially with ams-OSRAM and other international research groups.
