Specialist – Process Engineer in Functional Macromolecules and Porous Materials Group
Łukasiewicz Research Network – PORT Polish Center for Technology Development is a Research Institute within the Łukasiewicz Research Network. It focuses on development of new technologies, resulting from basic and applied research, which, in turn, serve as a basis for innovative solutions for the industry. With high-class specialists and state-of-art infrastructure, we provide capacity for the most advanced research. Our Institute consists of three research centers – Life Sciences & Biotechnology Center, Materials Science & Engineering Center and Population Diagnostics Center, with access to specialized core laboratories – a combination, which allows to carry out both, scientific research and pilot studies for the industry in a comprehensive manner.
Due to our growing needs, we invite candidates to apply for the position of
Specialist – Process Engineer in Functional Macromolecules and Porous Materials Group.
The position is for 2 years with possibility for extension after evaluation. The role of this position focuses on supporting research projects on the development of porous materials and its application potential in collaboration with team members.
Qualifications/requirements:
- A recognized master’s degree in Chemistry, material science or equivalent area
- Preferably, experience and knowledge in inorganic chemistry, material synthesis and analysis
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written
- Strong ability to work effectively in teams as well as independently
- Proficiency in Polish is a plus but not mandatory
Responsibilities/tasks:
- Assist in the maintenance of laboratory and equipment
- Perform synthesis and characterization of porous materials including metal organic frameworks and metal organic cages
- Participate in international collaboration and results dissemination in national/international conferences
- Assist in publishing research results in scientific journals
Selected candidate will have opportunity to enroll in a PhD programme.
